The sources of thermal pollution within urban areas are: the underground pipelines of industrial enterprises, heating mains, prefabricated reservoirs and communication. These include the effects of noise and electromagnetic radiation, and the sources of the latter are high-voltage power lines, antennas, radio and television stations, and more recently as microwave ovens, computers and cordless phones.
